EVOCATION AND ATTRACTION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE – CHRISTIAN ANTIQUITY AND TURKISH BATH FOR CULTURAL TOURISM

The Evocation and Attraction of Cultural Heritage – Christian Antiquity and Turkish Bath for Cultural Tourism project aims to strengthen the ties between Montenegro and Kosovo, fostering EU integration through joint scientific research on key cultural sites. By focusing on the archaeological heritage of Christian Antiquity in Berane and the Turkish Bath in Peja/Peć, the project aims to enhance the tourism potential in these regions, driving socioeconomic development.

Through valorising, digitising, and promoting these cultural sites, the project seeks to reduce tourism seasonality, offering a year-round cultural experience. Creating 3D models for marketing will elevate the quality of heritage promotion, attracting visitors and promoting sustainable tourism practices.

The project’s ultimate goal is to create a collaborative ecosystem that connects local communities, governments, tourism providers, and visitors. This ecosystem will foster innovation and cross-border cooperation, emphasizing the development of cultural tourism cantered on immovable cultural heritage. By integrating these significant cultural sites into the tourism market, the project will contribute to the economic growth and social inclusion of the region, promoting sustainable tourism based on the rich historical assets of the area.
